Klay Thompson returned to the “high seas” following his breakup from Megan Thee Stallion.
As seen in an undated video circulating online, the 36-year-old Dallas Mavericks star appeared on a Instagram Live stream while steering a boat and enjoying a beverage.
“Good to be back on the high seas. Come on, fellas,” he says in the above clip. “[It’s been] a long time, so the rhythm might not be there, but the passion is always there.”
“God, feels good to be back. Nothing like the ocean, let me tell you,” he added before jamming out to LeVert’s 1987 hit, “Casanova.”
Thompson, an avid boater, did not address the breakup.
On Saturday (April 25), Megan accused Thompson of cheating, and pointed to his "horrible mood swings" during the basketball season.
She later confirmed the breakup in a statement shared to Complex via her rep. “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said in a statement. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Amid the fallout, Megan, who has been performing in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, shed tears during the curtain call—just hours following the news of her breakup.
Megan also announced she will exit the production earlier than planned, with her final performance scheduled for Friday (May 1).
Megan and Klay’s breakup has drawn passionate reactions from figures including DJ Akademiks, Mase, Ebro Darden, Stephen A. Smith, and the official account for the popular video game, The Sims.
Some fans of the “Plan B” rapper alleged they were contacting Etsy witches, presumably to hex the NBA star.
WNBA star Lexie Brown recently issued a statement shutting down speculation linking her to the split.
