Megan Thee Stallion is finding support from an unlikely source following her breakup from Klay Thompson.
The official account for The Sims shared a timely and not-so-subtle post in support of the Traumazine rapper to their X account.
In the post, the account shared a GIF of a Sim in a basketball uniform who is seen standing in a kitchen, looking down as multiple fires burn indoors while a red plumbob floats above his head.
“If you can’t handle a Hottie [heart on fire emoji] stay out of the kitchen[Unamused Face emoji],” The Sims captioned the post.
On Saturday afternoon (April 25), Megan accused the Dallas Mavericks star of “cheating” in a post shared to her Instagram Story, while alleging that she endured his “horrible mood swings” during his basketball season.
Shortly after her post, Megan issued a statement to Complex through her representative, reading, “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Megan, who has been performing in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, broke down in tears during the show’s curtain call after the Saturday night performance.
When Megan joined the Broadway cast of Moulin Rouge! in March, she became the first woman to play the role of Zidler since the show’s opening in June 2019. She announced on Monday (April 27) that she will depart the cast on Friday, May 1—roughly three weeks earlier than her originally planned departure date scheduled for May 17.
Last July, the former couple went public with their relationship when Thompson accompanied the rapper to her inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation benefit gala.
Megan and Klay’s breakup has inspired a number of responses from the likes of Akademiks, Mase, and Ebro Darden.
Some of the fans of the rapper also alleged that they were contacting Etsy witches in light of the breakup.
WNBA star Lexie Brown recently shut down speculation that she came between Megan and Klay.
