On today’s episode of “No One Asked,” Akademiks gave his two cents on Megan Thee Stallion’s shocking public split from Dallas Mavericks player Klay Thompson.
Taking to X in the wake of the announcement on Saturday (April 25), Akademiks expectedly took to Thompson’s defense, arguing that being a champion NBA player comes first.
“Shordy said monogamy… man cut it out,” Akademiks wrote. “Klay ain’t win 4 rings for nothing! She thought she was the 5th ring… aww hell naw.. who u think u r… Ayesha [Curry]?”
It’s worth noting that Akademiks doesn’t have much respect for Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha, either, launching misogynistic rants toward her and encouraging the Warriors player to cheat on his longtime wife. “He should be having her stressed out,” the streamer said, arguing that it would prevent her from oversharing about their marriage.
In a bombshell Instagram Story posted by Megan on Saturday afternoon, the rapper accused Thompson of cheating among other things.
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house, got ‘cold feet’,” Megan wrote. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous????’”
In a statement to Complex via her rep, she said: “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Megan and Thompson went public with their relationship last July and appeared to be going strong. The rapper even suggested she’s ready to settle down with the athlete, telling recently engaged Olympians Brittany Bowe and Hilary Knight that she’s “manifesting my engagement too!”
The “My Man” rapper even surprised Thompson by booking Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony to perform at his 36th birthday party.
