Megan Thee Stallion sees wedding bells in her future with NBA star Klay Thompson.
The three-time Grammy winner eyed a proposal from her boyfriend, whom she went public with last July, during a café visit in Milan with Olympians Brittany Bowe and Hilary Knight. The athletes got engaged this last week after four years of dating, and while meeting up with Megan, they were joined by hockey player Laila Edwards.
“I heard y’all just got engaged, congrats!” Megan told the couple before seeing a TikTok of Knight proposing to Bowe. “I love love, that’s so sweet.”
“Manifesting my engagement, too,” the “Lover Girl” rapper added while crossing her fingers.
The couple seem to be well on their way down the aisle and often profess their love for each other on social media. Earlier this month, the Houston native surprised Thompson by booking Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony to perform at his 36th birthday party. The rapper also threw a beachside lunch for the Dallas Mavericks player.
In an interview with People earlier this month, Megan admitted that she “didn't even expect to be in a relationship” before meeting Thompson, but shared that the athlete makes her feel “overly comfortable.”
“I think that because finally I started being in a better mind space about myself and my life, and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal me,” she told the publication. “Maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right.”
The couple’s move towards a future engagement might have been soft-launched last October, when Megan posted a picture on Instagram of her and Thompson holding matching house keys.
