Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson’s split was still a hot topic on the latest episode of It Is What It Is.
As Mase, Cam’ron, and Stat Baby discussed the headline-worthy breakup, Mase pointed to Thompson’s occupation, height, and skin tone reasons it would never work out with the Houston hottie.
“Klay is 6’7”, light-skin with good hair as an athlete,” Murda said at the 43:47 minute mark. “He didn't need Megan. If you 6’7” and you're light-skinned with good hair, you could have anybody. I think we all know that.”
He continued, “Ladies, tell the truth. A guy in the hood could be six feet or tall, light skin with good hair, and he's going to have his pick of the litter wherever he go.”
Stat Baby disagreed with him: “I feel like you guys are contradicting what you're saying ‘cause if you can choose anybody, he still chose her. So, I don't understand.”
When Mase explained that Thompson “didn’t choose her” because he was allegedly unfaithful, Stat put forward that he “initially” chose her.
“If you cheated, you didn't choose her,” Mase doubled down, prompting Stat Baby to say, “A lot of people choose people that they unfortunately still cheat on. Beyoncé got cheated on.”
“He didn't choose it. That's why he's out,” Mase responded, speaking of Thompson.
Mase’s latest comments follow those from Monday’s episode of It Is What It Is, where he seemed shocked that Meg and Klay were in it for the long haul, citing her dating history as a reason why “he wasn’t supposed to marry her.”
On Saturday, Megan publicly ended her relationship with the Dallas Mavericks player after accusing him of infidelity, though she didn’t directly name him. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be “monogamous?” Megan wrote.
Her rep later confirmed the news to Complex.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Meg said in a statement via the rep. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
