Offset is reportedly facing legal pressure over a six-figure casino debt in Detroit.
According to a lawsuit reviewed by TMZ, the 34-year-old rapper is facing a dispute with MotorCity Casino Hotel, which claims he opened a $100,000 credit line in March 2024 to continue gambling.
Per the complaint, the casino was reportedly unable to reach Offset and attempted to withdraw the agreed-upon funds directly from his account, but the transaction failed due to insufficient funds.
The casino is now suing for breach of contract, fraud, and related claims.
The lawsuit was filed on March 30, about a week before the rapper was shot outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
"We are working toward a resolution,” a spokesperson told Complex regarding the situation.
The case adds to piling financial issues for the former Migos rapper, including a past matter involving the Internal Revenue Service that required him to pay more than $1.5 million in federal income taxes.
Offset was shot in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday (April 6). Police allege that his rival, Lil Tjay, “directed members of his party to start a fight with another group of males” at the Florida hotel.
Former NFL star Dez Bryant alleged that Offset reached out to him hours before the shooting and that the rapper never repaid the $8,000 he allegedly owes him.
On a recent episode of The Ebro, Laura, and Rosenberg Show, Ebro Darden also claimed Offset owed him $5,000 from a Super Bowl bet. Darden later apologized for the comment, saying he “wasn’t in tune with what was really going on.”
Cardi B previously alluded to her ex-husband’s financial issues during an X Spaces livestream in September 2025. At the time, the Am I the Drama? rapper implied that Offset was holding up their divorce proceedings until she paid his taxes and forfeited one of her properties.
“Y’all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else’s taxes—even though I pay for my own—and give them one of my properties,” she said during the stream. “I’mma fight for that. This is not no love shit. I’m not gonna stop living my life.”
Following the shooting, Offset was photographed in a wheelchair outside having a cigarette. He broke his silence on social media in response to Tjay calling him a “rat,” writing, “U ain't buss nun.”
