Offset has responded to Lil Tjay calling him a rat after the former Migos rapper was shot outside of a Florida casino on Monday night.
The 34-year-old seemingly caught wind of a report made by The Shade Room Teens account about the comment Tjay, who is 24 years old, made to reporters following his release from jail.
“U ain't buss nun,” Offset wrote in the comments section.
Tjay was arrested on Monday (April 6) for disorderly conduct a capias-traffic charge in connection with driving without a valid license. Tjay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, said in a statement shared with Complex that the rapper was not involved in the shooting.
“The last thing I see was Offset looking at me like this: ‘Yo, that n***a shot me, that n***a shot me!’” Tjay told reporters following his release. “N***a is a rat, n***a. … I didn’t do no damn fighting. Did I shoot? That shit is crazy. I will smack the shit out of Offset. He would never play like that with me in his life. Ask Offset.”
Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Monday night (April 6).
In a statement shared with Complex, a spokesperson connected to the 34-year-old rapper shared, “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”
According to the probable cause affidavit reviewed by TMZ, cops claim that at around 7:22 PM ET on Monday (April 6), Tjay “directed members of his party to start a fight with another group of males” at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Police say that during the altercation one of Tjay's associates pulled a gun and fired, injuring Offset.
The documents reportedly state that officers reviewed security footage of Lil Tjay hopping out of his vehicle, pointing out Offset, and leading his group over to the rapper, where the fight broke out, and that Lil Tjay filmed the incident on his phone.
The fight between Tjay and Offset's friends allegedly continued until police arrived. Complex has reached out for comment in regards to the claims.
Offset is still recovering in a local hospital but was well enough to be wheeled outside for a cigarette.
