Offset has been photographed enjoying a cigarette outside a hospital after being shot in Florida.
As previously reported, Offset was shot outside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the Hollywood area of Florida on Monday (April 6). For now, details on the incident remain relatively scarce, though a spokesperson for the Migos alum did confirm his condition.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” a spokesperson told Complex on Monday. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”
Now, TMZ has shared photos and video of Offset grabbing a smoke outside a Florida hospital. In the imagery, he’s seen sitting in a wheelchair while wearing a hospital gown.
“One person has been charged in connection with the incident that took place Monday night at a valet area outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood,” a Seminole Police Department rep told Complex on Tuesday (April 7). “Tione Jayden Merritt (DOB 4/30/2001) has been charged with disorderly conduct - affray, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida Statute 870.01.”
The rep continued: “The incident began with an affray, or fight. Merritt was booked into the Broward County Jail late last night. A second person detained at the scene has not been charged. The investigation to identify one or more additional persons involved in the incident is ongoing. The injured individual remains at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla., with a non-life threatening injury.”
Tione Merritt, of course, is better known as Lil Tjay. Ahead of the statement referenced above, Dawn M. Florio, a lawyer for Tjay, said that their client had been made the subject of “false rumors” claiming he had been involved in the shooting.
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting,” Florio said. “Any reporting to the contrary is false.”
