Offset was reportedly shot but appears to be doing okay. According to TMZ, who first reported the news, the former Migos rapper was reportedly shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on Monday (April 6). A source also told the outlet that he appears to be “fine.”

In a statement shared with Complex, a spokesperson connected to the 34-year-old rapper shared, “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”

"We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood,” a spokesperson told TMZ in a statement.

The statement continued: "Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal."

The circumstances of the shooting and the extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

Shortly after TMZ reported the news, Quavo posted a praying hands emoji on Instagram against a black background.

TMZ also reported that Offset was all smiles while taking pictures with fans before he was shot. The outlets notes that the rapper was seen near an exit, talking on his phone, and interacted warmly with fans, shaking hands, taking photos, and chatting. A witness described him as relaxed and friendly.

For some fans, this incident recalls the tragic death of former Migos member Takeoff, who was fatally shot in November 2022 following a private party at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.

In light of his death, Quavo has taken several initiatives to speak out against gun violence in the wake of Takeoff’s death including a visit to Congress in 2023, the creation of an emergency trauma fund in Atlanta, and more.
