Euphoria is back in less than two weeks, with Zendaya once again leading the HBO hit as Rue, and now we have a second trailer to pore over.
At the start of the new trailer, we see Rue being questioned by presumed cops about whether she’s ever taken a trip to Mexico.
“Me? In Mexico?” Rue responds, though it’s immediately made clear that her surprise at this line of questioning is feigned.
The stakes, in fact, seem higher than ever for the entire Euphoria crew this time around. Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) are taking the plunge and getting married, though Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) re-entering their lives will surely complicate any quasi-bliss.
Other familiar faces—including Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow), Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer), Ali Muhammed (Colman Domingo), and Cal Jacobs (the late Eric Dane)—get some screen time in the new trailer, as well. We also get a look at what Euphoria newcomers Sharon Stone and Marshawn Lynch will be bringing to the table.
“In the beginning, we had to make a choice about who we were and what we wanted,” Rue adds via narration deeper into the new trailer, available in full up top. “But what we didn’t realize was how far we were willing to go. After all these years, have we finally gone too far?”
Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson and exec-produced by Drake, returns April 12 on HBO Max.
For Zendaya, Euphoria’s return comes amid what may very well go down as her busiest year yet. The Emmy and Golden Globe winner has not one but four potential megahits on the horizon through the end of 2026, starting with her and Robert Pattinson’s The Drama this Friday (April 3).
She’ll follow the A24-backed title with Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in July, Spider-Man: Brand New Day that same month, and Dune: Part Three in December.
Simply put, it’s a great year to be a Zendaya fan.
