As you’re no doubt aware, the entire world has been cordially invited to The Drama, a new A24 joint starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.
The latest from Kristoffer Borgli, whose Nicolas Cage-starring Dream Scenario was one of 2023’s best films, finds our two leads playing an engaged couple clearly poised for some high-level challenges as they stand on the precipice of contractually validating their relationship.
While things start sweet and innocuous enough, the tides appear to turn thanks, in part, to a hangout with friends during which each person reveals what they consider to be the worst thing they’ve ever done. The dread builds handily from there, with quick flashes in the just-released trailer teasing everything from an apparent car crash to a haphazardly wielded knife.

Zendaya and Pattinson are joined in the cast by Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Benton Gates. Midsommar and Eddington filmmaker Ari Aster is aboard as producer.
The Drama struts down the proverbial aisle on April 3. It is not, interestingly enough, the lone Zendaya and Pattinson title set to hit theaters this year. In July, they’ll both be seen in Christopher Nolan ’s The Odyssey, led by Matt Damon. Then, in December, they’ll add a third shared filmography entry thanks to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three.
These projects are also far from the only ones of note on the horizon for either actor.
The same month The Drama hits theaters, Zendaya will be seen making her return to Sam Levinson’s Euphoria universe with the HBO hit’s long-awaited third season.
Pattinson, meanwhile, will soon be seen donning Caped Crusader paraphernalia once more for Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part II. As of this writing, fans can expect an October 2027 release date for the sequel, which comes five years after the original.
