Sometimes, Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.
That’s what we’re told in the newly released trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, featuring returning stars (and real-life couple) Tom Holland and Zendaya.
Wednesday, fans got their most in-depth look yet at the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed film, which marks the fourth entry in the MCU Spider-Man series.
Ahead of the trailer’s reveal, Holland invited select Spidey fans to not only share personal stories about their fondness for the character, but to also debut exclusive bite-sized clips from the trailer. Other fans, meanwhile, followed along as each clip was unveiled, all leading up to the reveal of the full trailer with a special Empire State Building event.
“I’m so excited about it,” Zendaya, who returns as MJ in the new film, teased to Deadline at the Los Angeles premiere of A24’s The Drama on Tuesday night. “It’s really wonderful. I mean, I am biased but I mean it—Tom is so talented and he’s so great and he cares so much. I think people will not be disappointed.”
Brand New Day picks up four years after the events of No Way Home, with Peter Parker having nixed himself from loved ones’ memories, thus making him a full-time Spidey in New York.
“Hi, my name is Peter Parker,” Holland, as Peter Parker/Spidey, says in the new trailer. “You don’t remember me, but we used to know each other. Something bad was gonna happen and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me—because I’m not just Peter Parker, I’m Spider-Man.”
Several familiar faces pop up in the new trailer, including MCU alumni Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo. You can also spot Severance scene-stealer Tramell Tillman, who was an undeniable standout in last year’s Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning alongside Tom Cruise. Also joining the proceedings is Stranger Things star Sadie Sink.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31. Watch the new trailer up top.
2026 is proving particularly stacked for Zendaya, with Brand New Day merely one of multiple high-profile projects she’ll be rolling out in the months ahead. First up is the April debut of The Drama, co-starring Robert Pattinson. She and Pattinson, in fact, will appear in three films together this year, with Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (also starring Holland) and Dune: Part Three set to hit theaters in July and December, respectively.
But that’s not all. HBO’s Euphoria will finally be back next month for its third season, with Zendaya returning as Rue, a role for which she’s already won two Emmys and a Golden Globe.
