We are just months away from the third season of Euphoria, but showrunner Sam Levinson is keeping details mum — even from the cast members themselves.

In an interview with Variety taken from the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday, January 11, Colman Domingo said he hasn’t seen any of the upcoming third season of Euphoria, other than portions of the scenes he’s filmed. Furthermore, Domingo revealed that he was only given scripts for his character.

“We never got any scripts for the other characters,” he said. “Which was kind of cool, because you were really in your own insular world.”

He continued, noting that he does get to see a little bit more of the hotly anticipated third season soon.

“I will be doing some ADR soon,” Domingo said. “I will see some little bits. I’m excited about what we’ve made. I think it’s beyond television, I think it becomes cinema. I think that’s all what Sam’s mind does. And everyone’s giving incredible performances.”

On Euphoria, Domingo plays Ali, a recovering drug addict who becomes the sponsor of Zendaya’s character, Rue. Over the course of the show’s run, Ali and Rue often butt heads, but Ali frequently helps Rue get out of trouble.

Though it seems Rue might find herself in quite a conundrum this coming season. At the end of Season 2, Rue revealed that she had stayed sober for the remainder of the school year. But during the HBO slate that took place in December 2025, Levinson revealed that Rue is still in debt to Laurie — a terrifying drug supplier played by Martha Kelly — and is “trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, and Hunter Schafer will also appear in Euphoria’s third season, which will pick up five years after the events of Season 2.

Season 3 of Euphoria premieres in April on HBO.
