HBO’s hit series Euphoria is making a much-anticipated comeback next year, and fans are waiting with bated breath for details. Ahead of the premiere of the show’s third season, Jacob Elordi is teasing some details about his character, Nate.

On the show, Nate is depicted as a star athlete who struggles with his sexuality. Over the course of the show’s previous two seasons, viewers see his issues manifest in the form of rage and anger. But in an interview with Variety shared on Tuesday, December 9, Elordi explained that viewers might be able to expect a different side of Nate.

In a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow for the publication’s “Actors on Actors” series, Elordi revealed that he thinks Nate is “nicer” in the upcoming season of Euphoria.

“I really do think so,” said Elordi. “Whether it works or not, I don’t know. There’s a chance that what I’ve done is not good.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Elordi noted that the upcoming third season is a “completely different thing.” The show’s most recent season ended in March 2022. When the next season picks up, fans can expect a time jump.

Though details for the third season have been kept mum, showrunner Sam Levinson revealed some storylines at a Content London event earlier this month, per The Hollywood Reporter. According to Levinson, Nate gets married to Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie. “I promise that it will be an unforgettable night,” said Levinson.

Levinson also teased some details about the events leading up to the wedding.

“Cassie is living in the suburbs with Nate,” Levinson said. “They’re engaged, and she’s very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time.”

Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait too much longer to see the story unfold. Euphoria’s third season is set to premiere on HBO in April 2026.
