Yes, a couple got hitched during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance. The DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS artist rose to the occasion on Sunday (February 8) at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Benito delivered back-to-back hits during the ten-minute performance, including “EoO” and 'Tití Me Preguntó'. While there was also no shortage of political references, a couple that attended this year’s Super Bowl got married during the show, which attendees and viewers at home saw live.
As shared by NBC Sports reporter Rohan Nadkarni in a tweet, the couple invited the six-time Grammy winner to their wedding. In turn, and perhaps because of a busy schedule, Benito invited them to instead get married during the halftime show. Variety and others also reported that the whole thing was real.
The halftime show also saw no shortage of celebrity guests, including Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin and more.
The performance also comes as a full circle to Bad Bunny, who was a guest during the Super Bowl LIV halftime show in 2020, which was co-headlined by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. Also making an appearance in the show was J Balvin.
Bad Bunny, who was announced as Super Bowl LX halftime headliner last September, teased during a press conference on Thursday (Feb. 5) that the mid-game show would be a “huge party,” as well as a showcase of his Puerto Rican culture — a feat the six-time Grammy winner accomplished.
