The former NFL star’s song choice sparked speculation following confirmation of his ex-wife’s new marriage.

Tom Brady’s first social media post following news of Gisele Bündchen’s marriage is raising eyebrows, not because of what he said, but because of the song he chose.

On Saturday morning (Dec. 20), the retired NFL legend shared two photos to his Instagram Story, marking his first public post since reports confirmed that his ex-wife had married Joaquim Valente earlier this month. In the first image, Brady is seen wearing a white hoodie with the words “Forever Young” printed across the chest. Rather than adding a caption, Brady set the photo to Logic’s 2017 song “1-800-273-8255,” a track centered on mental health and suicide prevention.

The song’s title references the former National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number, which has since been replaced by the shorter 988 hotline. The lyrics include lines such as “I feel like my life ain’t mine” and “I don’t wanna be alive,” prompting speculation online about Brady’s emotional state. Brady used the same song again in a second image, showing him looking fit in a black T-shirt and athletic shorts.

It remains unclear whether Brady intended to send a message with his music choice. The seven-time Super Bowl champion offered no explanation, and representatives for Brady have not commented on the post.

The timing of the upload has fueled conversation, as it comes shortly after news broke that Bündchen quietly married Valente, her former jiu-jitsu instructor, in an intimate ceremony near their Surfside, Florida home on Dec. 3. Bündchen and Valente also welcomed their first child together earlier this year.

Brady and Bündchen finalized their divorce in 2022 after 13 years of marriage and share two children. Since then, Brady has largely kept his personal life private, focusing on business ventures, broadcasting, and family.

Whether Brady’s post was a coincidence, a nod to mental health awareness, or a subtle emotional response to the news remains open to interpretation.
