Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo just became the first player to score a goal in six consecutive FIFA World Cup tournaments. To celebrate the feat, Nike is releasing this all-gold Mercurial Superfly this week.
Ronaldo’s upcoming “Gold” Mercurial Superfly RGN cleats don a metallic gold finish covering the entirety of the upper, a large Swoosh that wraps around the forefoot, and “CR7” branding on the heel of the lateral side. The gold hue also continues down to the chevron studs on the outsoles.
Nike confirmed that it opted for the Mercurial cleat for this release, as this is Ronaldo’s preferred line throughout his professional soccer career and in the World Cup.
Readers will be able to cop Ronaldo’s “Gold” Mercurial Superfly RGN starting tomorrow, June 24, at Nike.com and select retailers globally. Grab a closer look at the cleats below.
