Tom Brady’s Card Store Gets Robbed, Nearly $10,000 in Merch Stolen, Police Say

The incident occurred two weeks after the newest CardVault opened in SoHo.

The New York Police Department needs help in the search for a thief who reportedly stole collectible cards worth thousands from the SoHo location of Tom Brady's CardVault,

In a press release by the NYPD, it was detailed that on October 20 around 11:40 a.m., a male suspect visited the 244 Lafayette Street location and attempted to purchase merchandise with a credit card. Upon the transaction being declined, the customer entered manual prompts to bypass the rejected purchase. The suspect them left the store with approximately $9,710 in collectable baseball and Pokémon cards.

"The unidentified individual fled the location on foot, traveling southbound on Lafayette Street to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident," the release continues. The suspect is currently bing investigated by NYPD's Financial Crimes Task Force for grand larceny.

The store's SoHo store, also the seventh CardVault location, opened on October 8, making it less than two weeks of being established when the theft occurred. Since then, CardVault stores have opened in Dallas and Minnesota.

The former New England Patriots quarterback hasn't given a public statement about the theft but has been highlighted in promotion for upcoming sports comedy-drama Marty Supreme.
