Drake has officially surpassed Jay-Z with the most No. 1 albums by a solo male artist ever.
According to Billboard, Drake now owns 15 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 after Iceman debuted atop the chart. The milestone pushes him ahead of Jay-Z for the most chart-topping albums ever by a solo male artist while tying him with Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums among all solo acts. Only The Beatles remain ahead overall with 19.
The achievement comes after Drake pulled off one of the most historic chart performances in Billboard history, simultaneously debuting Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart dated May 30.
Billboard noted that no artist had ever debuted in the top three spots simultaneously since the chart adopted its weekly format in 1956.
Iceman led the way with 463,000 equivalent album units earned during its opening week, fueled primarily by streaming. The project generated more than 462 million official on-demand streams across its 18 songs, giving Drake the largest streaming week of 2026 for any album so far.
Habibti followed with 114,000 equivalent album units, while Maid of Honour opened with 110,000 units. Both projects were also heavily powered by streaming activity, helping Drake completely dominate the chart during release week.
Billboard additionally reported that Iceman delivered the biggest R&B/hip-hop streaming week since Drake’s own For All the Dogs in 2023, further cementing his continued dominance despite years in the industry.
The chart takeover also continued Drake’s historic relationship with Billboard. Over the course of his career, the Toronto superstar has repeatedly broken records across the Billboard 200 and the Hot 100.
