Drake isn’t just projected to dominate the Billboard 200 chart with his three new albums.
As reported by Billboard, Drizzy’s trilogy of new albums has made history on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, becoming the first artist to debut three studio albums inside the top ten simultaneously. Iceman has debuted on the chart at No. 1, while Maid of Honour occupies No. 6, and Habibti at No. 7. The last time an artist made a comparable splash on the UK charts was when Prince debuted three compilation albums in the top ten in 1993.
Iceman marks Drake’s seventh No. 1 album in the UK, following 2023’s For All the Dogs, 2022’s Her Loss with 21 Savage, 2021’s Certified Lover Boy, 2020’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes, 2018’s Scorpion, and 2016’s Views.
The No. 2 album on the chart for the week ending Thursday (May 21) is Michael Jackson’s The Essential compilation album, which occupied the top spot for the past two weeks. MJ also has two other albums in the top ten, with Thriller at No. 4 and Bad at No. 8. The top five of the chart is rounded out by Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving at No. 3, and Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide at No. 5.
While the official chart for the Billboard 200 albums chart has yet to be released, the final projections show that Drake is projected to sell a combined total of 683.1K units across the 43 songs. Iceman is projected to sell 459.9K units and debut at No. 1 in the week ending Thursday, while Habiti is projected to debut at No. 2 with 114.1K units, and Maid of Honour is expected to debut at No. 3 with 109.1K.
Drizzy will be the first artist to ever debut three new albums in the top 3 spots of the Billboard 200, meaning that he’s looking to make history on both sides of the Atlantic.
