Baka Not Nice is escalating tensions between OVO and Rick Ross following the release of Drake’s new album, Iceman.
Shortly after Ross mocked Drake’s latest releases online, Baka took to Instagram Stories with a direct message aimed at the MMG boss. Along with a photo of Ross sitting in a chair, Baka wrote, “Ross a B*tch And he know IT [target emoji, pig nose emoji].”
In another post, Baka added, “officer rick Not Ricky,” appearing to continue a long-running jab referencing Ross’ former career as a correctional officer before rap fame.
The posts circulated across social media as fans connected them to the renewed tension sparked by Drake’s latest album rollout.
On Iceman, Drake appeared to take a shot at Ross on the track “Make Them Pay,” rapping, “Dog, I was aidin’ Ross with streams before Adin Ross had ever streamed,” a bar that played on the name of popular streamer Adin Ross while suggesting Drake helped boost Rozay’s career commercially.
Ross later responded on Instagram Stories, laughing at criticism aimed at Drake’s new releases and reading negative comments about the Toronto rapper aloud. At one point, Ross mocked the three-project drop, calling the albums “mid” and joking that Drake looked “washed.”
He also fired shots at podcasters Rory and Mal while questioning Drake’s ongoing legal dispute with Universal Music Group.
Despite the latest back-and-forth, Ross previously suggested he wasn’t worried about Drake mentioning him on the album. During a recent interview with Hot 97’s Nessa, Ross said the two had made history together musically and framed their issues more as Drake “losing focus” than a permanent feud.
