Florida Rapper 1900Rugrat Claims Drake Stole Beat for ‘Iceman’ Track ”Little Birdie”

1900Rugrat alleged Drake copied elements of his 2025 song “Intro” for the 'Iceman' track “Little Birdie” after previously requesting unreleased music.

South Florida rapper 1900Rugrat is accusing Drake of copying elements from one of his earlier songs after listening to the newly released Iceman album.

In a video posted to Instagram, 1900Rugrat claimed Drake’s track “Little Birdie” sounded strikingly similar to “Intro” from his 2025 project Porch 2 The Pent. According to the rapper, he previously shared unreleased music with Drake’s camp after being contacted by one of Drake’s producers.

“So when I made the intro to my first album, like a year and a half ago, Drake was hitting me up around that time and wanted to hear music,” Rugrat said. “So I sent 10 songs through and they was all finna be on my album because I didn’t want nobody to steal my shit and I know how people move.”

The rapper alleged that Drake’s team specifically showed interest in using “Intro,” but he declined to give up the record because he planned to keep it for his own album.

“The one they took a liking to was the intro,” he explained. “I said, ‘No, you can’t have this song.’ He wanted me on the album still. He said, ‘I’m gonna send you a verse too.’ Never sent a verse.”

After listening to Iceman, Rugrat said Drake’s song “Little Birdie” immediately reminded him of his own track.

“I went back and listened to the intro on my first album,” he said. “Twin… that’s the only beat I ever produced and sat there and made myself. Don’t rip my shit and repitch it like that.”

Despite the frustration, the accusation adds another twist to what had previously appeared to be a positive relationship between the rising rapper and Drake. 1900Rugrat had openly celebrated receiving support from the Toronto superstar in the past, especially after Drake publicly reposted his music online.

During a previous interview with Complex, Rugrat described the moment Drake shared his music as surreal.

“That shit had me more than turnt,” he said. “I woke my girl up like, ‘Yo, Drake just posted my shit.’”

At the time, the Florida rapper also spoke optimistically about eventually working with Drake, saying it would be “hard” to link with him directly while Drake was overseas touring.
