Molly Santana gained roughly 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify overnight after appearing on Drake’s Iceman track “Ran To Atlanta” with him and Future. Considering the fact that she also brought out North West at Rolling Loud, it looks like the 21-year-old rapper is in for a huge year.

Below, we break down everything you need to know about Santana.

Who is Molly Santana?

Santana is a rapper from Fontana, California, of Japanese and Black descent. She started gaining major traction back in 2021 with the release of her first EP, Molly’s World. This sparked serious interest in her music, which has been described as a mix of trap and rage rap. Soon after, tracks like “Red Dot” in 2023 and “Chain Swangin” in 2024 became breakthrough moments in her rise. She is reportedly signed to Victor Victor Worldwide and Capitol Records and has opened up for Don Toliver and Ski Mask the Slump God.

Molly Santana is on “Ran To Atlanta" with Drake and Future

Santana surprised the world by appearing on Drake’s highly anticipated album ‘Iceman’ on the track “Ran To Atlanta.” The song, which also features Drake and Future, has widely been considered one of the highlights not only from that album, but from the entire three-album release Drizzy dropped on May 15. The song is set to make a top 5 debut on the Billboard Hot 100.

What has Molly said about working with Drake?

In an interview with Complex, we asked Molly how the feature came together. She told us that Drake said, “‘Future said your name, we gotta get you on this song,’” referring to the line, “Bring all the freaks to France and skrrt in the Sprinter, they wanna play Molly Santana.” Molly then quickly recorded her verse for the project.

Drake stamped Molly Santana as the “biggest in the game”

Molly has not released any public statements about collaborating with Drake, but after appearing in the livestream ahead of ‘Iceman’s’ release, she posted several ice cube emojis on Instagram. Also, in a newly released behind-the-scenes video from the “Ran To Atlanta” video shoot, Drake officially co-signs Molly as one of the “biggest in the game.”

Drake’s affiliation with Molly began in 2025 when he followed her on Instagram.

Her co-signs do not stop there. Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu has even stated that Molly’s track “2 Rich” is one of her favorite songs to listen to as she trains.

Molly Santana Connection to North West

For the past year or so, North West has shown love for Molly’s music and overall aesthetic, even dyeing her hair a similar teal-blue. The two were pictured together at Summer Smash in 2025, and North has continued to support Molly on social media. In an interview with Complex, Molly mentioned that she met the young star at the beginning of 2025 and said that she “is so honored to just get to watch her grow.”

The duo linked up once again at Rolling Loud USA this year during Molly’s set. Since the last time they were seen together, North has ventured into music, like her father Ye, releasing her debut EP on May 1. During the performance, the two debuted an unreleased collaborative track that featured the rage-rap elements both artists are known for.

What is next for Molly Santana?

Santana is not a slouch when it comes to releasing music. She already has five EPs and two albums under her belt. Her next album, Black Punk, is expected to drop sometime this year, and in an interview with Complex during Rolling Loud she described it as her “craziest” album yet. Based on the teasers, the project appears to lean into a more eccentric sound filled with blown-out 808s and distorted synthesizers.

Additionally, she announced via X that she is “independent again.” Brian Zisook, the founder of Audiomack, claimed that she is still with Victor Victor, however, the company’s deal with Universal Music’s Capitol Records has ended, meaning Molly is technically no longer signed to a major label.
