Ray J was reportedly involved in a domestic violence incident over the weekend.
As TMZ reports, authorities were called to the Los Angeles home of the singer and reality television star. The LAPD was called to the residence at 2 a.m. on Saturday (February 21) for a domestic battery incident, and the alleged victim was a 30-year-old Persian woman. The description does not appear to fit Ray J’s wife of ten years, Princess Love, with whom the “One Wish” vocalist shares two children.
When authorities arrived at the scene, neither the alleged victim nor Ray J were willing to speak. Officers eventually left the location after being unable to speak to the two or nearby witnesses and without making an arrest. Complex reached out to the LAPD for more details, but they did not immediately respond.
Law enforcement has had to intervene during at least two incidents involving the 45-year-old entertainer in the last year. In March 2025, Ray J was detained after an argument with Princess Love in LA amid their separation. It was alleged that Ray J was shouting, acting aggressively with his wife and possibly under the influence.
Last November, Ray J was arrested after allegedly pulling a gun out on Princess during a livestream, but he’s since denied that he planned to shoot his wife. The former Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood star filed a protective order against her husband, which she later amended for him to see their children Melody, 7, and Epik, 6, amid his ongoing health issues.
In 2025, Ray J began publicly dating Shila, a contestant on his Zeus Network reality dating series Love Cabin. The pair appeared on a November 2025 episode of The Breakfast Club.
