Ray J was reportedly hospitalized on Tuesday (Jan. 6) in Las Vegas for pneumonia and heart pains, per TMZ.
A source told the outlet that the singer received X-rays and an echocardiogram, but there was no further information about his condition at the time of publishing.
News of Ray J's hospitalization comes four years after he had a health scare. The 44-year-old suffered a bout of pneumonia in 2021 that was serious enough to warrant concerns it would become fatal.
Miami doctors reportedly put the "What I Need" artist on oxygen and required him to use an inhaler at the time, and he made a full recovery. The illness was deemed not related to COVID-19 despite occurring during the pandemic.
Ray J, who's been embroiled in multiple legal battles in recent months, was arrested in November after a Thanksgiving Twitch livestream went awry. The R&B star accused Princess Love of being "drunk" and trying to take their two children from his house.
Ray J allegedly pulled a gun and threatened to "shoot" Princess Love.
“I’ll kill you… Get the fuck out of here, you in my house,” he yelled as he appeared to hide from the camera's livestream. “I’ll shoot the fuck out of you.”
Following the arrest, in December, Ray J said he would be hitchhiking from Tampa, Florida, to Los Angeles as part of his idea for a show called Celebrity Hitchhiker. He intended to be back in California by Christmas.
