Drake's Iceman isn't just taking over the culture, it's been dominating the charts — as have his two other surprise albums.
According to trusted music outlet Hits Daily Double, the rapper's new album, which arrived on Friday (May 15), is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart next week, and is projected to sell 480,000-520,000 equivalent units in its first week.
Drizzy’s surprise albums, Maid of Honour and Habibti, which were released on the same day as Iceman, are also slated to have a high position on the chart, moving 115,000-135,000 equivalent units and 110,000-130,000 equivalent units, respectively.
If the 6 God scores another No. 1 single, he’s on track to surpass the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The artists are currently tied at 13 chart-topping hits on the Billboard Hot 100, hence Drake wearing a sparkly glove similar to Jackson on the Iceman album cover.
Earlier this week, the five-time Grammy winner made music history with being named the artist with the most albums that have spent 10 years on the Billboard 200. Before him was Jackson with Thriller, while Drake’s record-breaking albums are Take Care, Nothing Was the Same and Views, all released during the 2010s.
In less than 48 hours of being released, Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti have reached other global streaming milestones on Apple Music, Amazon Music and Spotify. On Spotify alone, Drake nabbed highest-streamed artist of 2026 so far, along with highest-streamed album (Iceman) and song ("Make Them Cry") in a single day.
