The Bad Bunny Halftime Show at the 2026 Super Bowl has garnered a lot of praise, and people are specifically highlighting how great the cinematography was for the live show.

Bad Bunny’s phenomenal show featured an elaborate stage design, created by Harriet Cuddeford and the production company Yellow Studio, but it wasn’t just the visuals and huge amount of dancers and extras that caught people’s attention. The way it was shot was just as commanding, especially a gorgeous double dolly shot that showed him gliding past a group of violinists.

As one user on social media pointed out, as seen above, the double dolly is a technique pioneered by director Spike Lee and cinematographer Ernest Dickerson. They first utilized the shot in their 1989 collaboration Do the Right Thing, but perhaps their most famous example of the technique was featured in Malcolm X, starring Denzel Washington.

It wasn’t just the camerawork during the Halftime Show that got major props, as others pointed out how well the camera team caught the flyover moment at the end of Charlie Puth’s performance of the National Anthem.

Bad Bunny’s performance was a star-studded affair, featuring cameo appearances from Pedro Pascal and Cardi B, among others, and guest performances from Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga. The Halftime Show, which Bunny used as an opportunity to remind everyone, “together, we are America,” also featured a real couple getting married.

Check out some of the reactions to the cinematography below.
