Zara
Zara is a Spanish fast-fashion retailer founded in 1975 by Amancio Ortega in A Coruña, Spain, and the flagship brand of the Inditex group — the largest fashion retailer in the world by revenue. Built on a rapid-turnover model that moves trend-to-shelf faster than any traditional fashion house, Zara has long occupied the space between high street and high fashion, offering runway-adjacent silhouettes at accessible prices. Its 50th anniversary in 2025 coincided with a deliberate repositioning toward designer collaboration as a core part of its identity. That shift has made Zara increasingly relevant to a streetwear and culture audience that would have previously ignored it. Since 2025, the brand has released capsule collections with Samuel Ross, Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Aaron Levine, and Willy Chavarria, and announced a two-year partnership with John Galliano beginning in September 2026. The most high-profile moment in that run came in May 2026, when Bad Bunny — who wore custom Zara at the Super Bowl LX halftime show — dropped the Zara x Benito Antonio collection, a streetwear-inflected line of suiting, hoodies, denim, and caps rooted in his Puerto Rican identity.
