To celebrate the release of Iceman, Drake has released some expensive hoodies inspired by it.
Available on the October's Very Own website, Drake’s “ICEMAN OG” hoodies feature an owl logo that’s as bedazzled as the Michael Jackson glove on the cover of Iceman. The hoodies retail for a whopping $268, and they’re currently not available.
You read that right. The baby blue colorway of the hoodie is sold out. There’s a black colorway that’s available for preorder. When it’ll be available, no one knows — but you’d have to imagine it’d be sooner than later to capitalize on the release of Iceman.
Drake released Iceman, along with two other albums, Habibti and Maid of Honour, on May 15. The projects have become the talk of the internet — perhaps Iceman more than the others due to the situations he addresses and subliminals he throws towards his peers.
One person to catch one of the biggest disses is DJ Khaled, who Drake addresses on the track “Make Them Pay.”
“Dog, I was aidin’ Ross with streams before Adin Ross had ever streamed,” Drake rapped about Rick Ross before switching gears. “And, Khaled, you know what I mean/The beef was fully live, you went halal and got on your deen/And your people are still waitin’ for a ‘Free Palestine’/But apparently everything isn’t black and white and red and green, damn/I’m seein’ everyone’s true colors, for real, I’m sensin’ a theme.”
Khaled took to Instagram to seemingly address the situation by suggesting that he wouldn’t be playing into any negativity aimed his way.
“Good morning, what a beautiful morning,” he said, displaying a picture of the view from his house. “Sending love and blessing to everyone out there. And remember, life is beautiful. God’s morning… Good morning!”
In a separate post that followed, Khaled provided a caption that suggested he was responding to Drake’s lyrics.
“LET GOD RISE AND ALL HIS ENEMIES SCATTER,” Khaled wrote. “No man nuh badda than JAH and wi a run JAH crew. Unoo come in a unoo thousands and two. They stand against you and hating me. Dem just cannot go through dem heart nuh clean nor free. I remind dem so much of who they are supposed to be. I am of royalty dem lost dem identity.”
Meanwhile, Ross took a much different approach to responding to Drake. Instead of ignoring the line that mentioned him, Ross frankly called all three of Drake’s new albums “mid.”
