“He cares deeply about his little sister – a young lady, a minor," an attorney for Beverley previously said of the arrest.

New alleged details have emerged on the recent arrest of Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves alum Patrick Beverley.

As previously reported, Beverley was arrested in Texas earlier this month on a charge of assault on a family member/household member impeding breath or circulation in connection with an alleged incident involving his younger sister. In a statement at the time, Letitia D. Quinones-Hollins, an attorney for Beverley, noted that her client “has no criminal record” while disputing the nature of the allegations.

“He cares deeply about his little sister – a young lady, a minor," the attorney’s statement read. "Given that, when he unexpectedly found her alone in the home with an 18-year-old man in the middle of the night, he was understandably concerned, as any brother would be about his sister. However, we don’t believe what followed happened the way it’s been described and we look forward to the opportunity to address that in court.”

Now, TMZ, citing a probable cause affidavit, has shared more alleged details in the circumstances surrounding the arrest. The publication states that the night in question began with Beverley’s sister leaving home “without permission” to see boyfriend Aiden Hilderbrand. Once back home, her mother is said to have instructed her to go to her room, at which point she was also told to call the boyfriend to pick her up from the residence.

Once the boyfriend arrived, Beverley was allegedly called by the mother and also told to come over, with the NBA star ultimately accused of grabbing his sister “by the neck with both hands” and picking her up “off the ground.”

After allegedly choking her for a period of up to 30 seconds, the sister reportedly claimed, Beverley also “slammed” her against a wall, as well as punched her in the eye. At another point, according to the report, Beverley is accused of telling his sister that he would be “the family relative to kill her.”

When reached by Complex on Tuesday (Nov. 18), a rep for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office declined to comment. Complex has also reached out to Beverley’s attorney in this matter, Letitia D. Quinones-Hollins, for additional comment.
