Chase DeMoor walked into Dubai as the Misfits heavyweight champion and walked out with his belt intact after outworking Andrew Tate over six exhausting rounds.

According to Forbes, the main event of Misfits Boxing 23 went down on Saturday, December 20, at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, streaming live on Rumble, and ended with DeMoor earning a clear decision victory in a fight that steadily slipped away from Tate.

Early on, it looked like Tate might be in control. The former kickboxing champion used a jab to the body and head in the opening round, keeping distance and attempting to line up straight right hands.

DeMoor, meanwhile, appeared limited offensively at first, offering little more than a probing lead hand and absorbing shots while figuring out timing.

That dynamic didn’t last. By the second round, DeMoor began leaning into pressure. He repeatedly threw wide right hands and crashed into clinches, forcing a physical pace that taxed Tate’s gas tank. While it wasn’t textbook boxing, it proved effective.

By the third round, Tate’s output noticeably slowed, and DeMoor started landing more consistently as fatigue set in.

The fight took a strange turn in the fifth. DeMoor dropped his hands low and began launching looping, leaping uppercuts from awkward angles. Despite their unorthodox look, the punches landed—repeatedly.

The exchange resulted in a cut on Tate’s face, leaving him bloodied as the round wore on. The sixth round returned to grinding clinch exchanges, but the outcome was no longer in doubt. After six three-minute rounds, DeMoor was awarded the decision, having controlled the latter half of the fight.

Here are some of the social media reactions to DeMoor’s win over Tate.

The bout capped a strange buildup that drew attention well beyond the usual Misfits audience. Tate entered the fight, billing it as his boxing debut, despite his background in kickboxing.

His opponent, DeMoor, brought significantly more experience within the influencer boxing ecosystem, having logged roughly 14 bouts and multiple title defenses.

Outside the ring, Tate remains one of the most controversial figures in online culture. He is currently facing multiple criminal and civil legal proceedings in Romania, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including allegations related to human trafficking and sexual assault.

Tate and his brother Tristan deny all allegations, and several cases are ongoing or awaiting trial.
