Andrew Tate’s ex-girlfriend, Bri Stern, has alleged that the controversial influencer set her up in Dubai, where she said she was held by authorities for six weeks.

As reported by TMZ, Stern has filed a lawsuit against Tate, 38, and alleged that he told Dubai authorities in June that she made false statements about him online. Making false statements against someone is a criminal offense in Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates. Police set up an investigation, and she was told that she wasn’t able to leave Dubai for as long as six weeks.

In the lawsuit, she claimed Tate set a "honeypot trap" on her, knowing that she frequently travels to Dubai. She said that when she arrived in Dubai for work on September 27, everything was business as usual. When she tried to leave the city on October 12, she said she was informed by officials at the airport that she was under a travel ban due to an investigation. Stern said she was shown social media posts that she shared about Tate, criticizing him, but she said they were fabricated.

Police allegedly took her phone, and she was interrogated by authorities for six weeks during the travel ban. When she went to the U.S. Embassy, she said they informed her they were unable to help. She also alleged that she received threatening messages on social media from Tate’s supporters. She previously received a restraining order against Tate in September, which barred him from coming into contact, or messaging her for three years. If he were behind the threatening message, he would have violated the restraining order.

Stern, who is represented by Tony Buzbee, filed the amended lawsuit on Wednesday (November 26) and accused Tate of false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Stern added that she was finally able to return home to Los Angeles on November 21. She previously filed a sexual assault allegation against him earlier this year.
