The 25-year-old breakout star of Curry Barker’s history-making hit would also like to work with Matt Damon.

If Inde Navarrette’s manifestational aims prove fruitful, she may soon have projects with Christopher Nolan and Ryan Coogler under her belt.

In a recent interview with Complex's Jillian Superstar, the breakout star of Alabama-born filmmaker Curry Barker’s Obsession, now the highest-grossing title in Focus Features’ entire roster, cited the two acclaimed directors as her current “top” picks for potential collaborations.

“One, I can't wait to see The Odyssey, so Christopher Nolan,” Navarrette told Complex. “And I will never shut up publicly about Ryan Coogler. Sinners is one of my favorite movies of all time, Fruitvale Station. Like, all of those. I feel like they're so grounded, and no matter how fantasy Sinners got, I felt like it was very real. I also loved the way that he portrayed Native Americans. I thought it was very fascinating. I'd also love to see that version of Sinners, why they're hunting and why they know these things and of the land.”

Naturally, Odyssey talk led to a mention of Matt Damon, another filmmaker Navarrette would be thrilled to work with in the future.

“I think, as an actor, he's been in the industry for a long time in such an elegant way,” she added.

It’s easy to envision Navarrette working with whomever she pleases moving forward, as Obsession’s journey to box office glory is one of the biggest and most sustaining industry stories of the year. While horror still doesn’t often get its due shine amid awards season, there is also talk that Navarrette, 25, may be poised for an Oscar nomination come January.

For Navarrette, however, such accolades are not her focus.

“It’s not that I don’t care about it,” she told Complex. “Like I said earlier, I’m very sensitive, so I kind of want to protect my peace. I don’t want to get too excited about something that may or may not happen. So I’m kind of just taking it day by day and being excited about what that day brings.”
