After releasing a gold Mercurial SuperFly RGN cleat this week, Nike will once again commemorate Cristiano Ronaldo becoming the first player to score a goal in six consecutive FIFA World Cup tournaments with this special Mercurial Superfly 11 release.
Shown here is the “Gold Scorpion” Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 CR7 that’s releasing via the SNKRS app this weekend. The Swoosh says this sneaker not only pays homage to Ronaldo’s goals in consecutive World Cup tournaments but references the brand’s 2002 Secret Tournament campaign, which featured the legendary footballer.
In addition to the all-gold color scheme, Ronaldo’s “CR7” branding is featured on the tongue, the medial side, and the outsole of the cleats. It’s also worth mentioning that this pair is limited to only 2,026 pairs, referencing the year in which Ronaldo made this history.
The “Gold Scorpion” Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 CR7 is launching on June 27 exclusively on the SNKRS app.
