Stephen Nedoroscik, more commonly known as Pommel Horse Guy, went viral during the 2024 Olympics. He won two bronze medals while his girlfriend, Tess McCracken, cheered him on from the stands. The pair met when they were both competing for Penn State University's gymnastics teams and made their red-carpet debut together at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
In 2024, when talking about the memes of her boyfriend, McCracken told NBC News, “I love them so much. I’ve retweeted almost every single one.” Since many fans were comparing Nedoroscik to Spider-Man or Clark Kent, she went on to say, “I have people like tagging me, calling me ‘Lois Lane,’ I’m like, ‘OK, I’m not going to be mad about it.’”
However, after 10 years together, their relationship has come to an end. The breakup occurred this January after their lease was up. According to a video posted to McCracken’s TikTok, the situation encouraged them to reevaluate their relationship.
“There wasn’t any drama to this,” she said in the clip posted on April 4. “There wasn’t some big blowup fight where one of us stormed out. There wasn’t any cheating. Neither of us came out as gay, much to several people’s disappointment.”
“It really was just time,” she admitted. “That sucks a lot. There’s really no other way to put it… As it turns out, there are things that didn’t matter at 18 that matter in your late 20s. And things that mattered then that don’t anymore. And life happens.”
Her TikTok video about the breakup currently has two million views with over 150k likes and hundreds of comments. As one user said, “You don’t owe anyone anything, but thank you for being so vulnerable!“ Another assured her, “Many of us met you through Stephen’s success, but we will continue to support YOU!”
