As reported by TMZ, Addison Rae’s father, Monty Lopez, was booked on April 28. The 50-year-old is facing a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana after being caught with a large amount of the substance.
The cops were originally called to his home on April 23 for a mental health call, but it turned into a criminal investigation. His mugshot has been released, capturing him posing in an orange shirt.
This is not the first time that Lopez has been arrested. According to Us Weekly, in 2024, he was arrested at a Walgreens in Lafayette, Louisiana for obscenity. He was also arrested in July 2025 for “exposing his genitals, pubic hair, in a public place or place open to public view, or in any prison or jail, with the intent of arousing sexual desire or which appealed to the prurient interest or was patently offensive.”
In the past, Rae has revealed she has a complicated relationship with her father. “From about 3 to 6 for me … Dad wasn’t really in my life very much. I’m sure that was personal decisions on your part with Dad,” she said to her mother in a 2020 episode of That Was Fun? With Addison & Sheri. “You guys, I’m sure, kind of established that, like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna need some space. We need to have our time to figure things out.’”
According to Just Jared, Sheri Easterling filed for sole custody of the 12-year-old son that she shares with Lopez. “During the court proceedings, documents revealed multiple alleged instances of abuse throughout their marriage, including an allegation that Monty once slapped Addison across the face with an open hand,” the outlet reported.
The couple share three children, including Addison, Lucas, and Enzo. They originally married in 2002, got divorce, and remarried in 2017. They split again in 2022.
