Kristy Sarah Scott has returned to the internet.
On Wednesday (Jan. 28), the influencer, who boasts over 17 million followers on TikTok and 10 million on Instagram, shared her first video since filing for divorce from her husband, Desmond Scott.
The clip shows Kristy Sarah grocery shopping at Whole Foods, where she said she was “literally shaking” and “really nervous” while recording the video.
“My nervous system is like shot. And it kind of has been for the past month,” she said, explaining that her followers have been asking for her typical “funny, silly videos,” but that she’s “not in that headspace.”
“I figured I'm just going to share with you guys the raw, the real, the ugly, just like how I'm transitioning,” she shared. “And I'm not going to lie. I was a little excited to go grocery shopping for the first time because I feel like I can just get anything I want. Not that I couldn't before, but it just feels a little different.”
She then thanked her followers for “being such a good support system.”
She continued, “I don't want to get emotional, but I kind of feel like this is gonna force you guys to see a different side of me because y’all always see my chaotic, humorous side, and it's just not in me to do that at this current moment in time.”
She acknowledged that she’s now entering a new era in her life.
“I think I'm just going to take advantage of learning who I am even more and what I like, and just diving into my hobbies more, doing the best I can for [my kids],” she said.
She added, “I've been so unsure of how to return back to the internet. I just figured I will throw a camera up and tell you guys how I'm feeling. Thankfully, there's not really any drama right now, so we're in the clear.”
Kristy Sarah and her ex made headlines earlier this month when reports surfaced that she had filed for divorce on Dec. 30, citing alleged infidelity and stating there was no reasonable chance for reconciliation.
Following news of their separation, Desmond Scott issued an apology on his Instagram Story.
While he didn’t specifically mention any infidelity on his part, he confessed that he and Kristy “faced challenges” in their relationship and that he “made sincere efforts to work through them.”
Days later, the professional chef and influencer revealed that he was “back in the kitchen” in a social media video showing him furnishing a kitchen.
The Scotts, who built their online brand around joint family content, renovations, and pranks, first met as teenagers, tied the knot in 2014, and share two young sons, Vance and Westin.
Amid the news of their divorce, Desmond was spotted at a Houston bar making out with a woman.
