DeRay Davis had an interesting pick for who should try their hand at award show hosting.
TMZ caught up with the comedian at LAX who, after praising Nikki Glaser for hosting the Golden Globes, offered up 50 Cent as someone who could also fit the bill.
“This gonna sound crazy—I don’t know if he’d do it,” Davis said. “I think 50 Cent should host The Emmys. He’s funny … and deserving. Why not?”
When Fif caught wind of Davis’ comments, the rapper responded on Instagram, writing, “@deraydavis this is so cool, you saying this made my day. 2025 is gonna be the year. Turn down for what!”
Glaser seemed to win everyone over at the Golden Globes, where—we’re sure to 50’s amusement—she let off several jokes about Diddy.
After joking about the Zendaya-starring Challengers, which she called "more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card,” she made another quip about after-parties.
“I know… I’m upset, too," Glaser joked. "The after-party isn’t going to be as good this year, but we have to move on,” she said.
Glaser then made the best joke of the night when she said that the “Stanley Tucci freak-off doesn’t have the same ring to it," adding, "No baby oil this year, just lots of olive oil.
