Following his visit to Italy for his dad’s baptism, during which he was spotted inside a Rome hotel lobby in his underwear asking for a light for his cigarette, Shia LaBeouf reportedly got into another fight in New Orleans following his two arrests in February.
As reported by TMZ, the troubled actor was photographed shirtless inside the Le Bon Temps Roule bar on Monday (Mar. 23). According to bystanders, he took off his shirt during a fight outside the bar and later returned. Sources said that multiple men appeared in a golf cart to confront LaBeouf. It’s unclear what happened during the fight, but the men who confronted him were allegedly upset over something he said or did.
When LaBeouf returned to the bar, where he is reportedly a regular, he called someone to pick him up and take him home. Despite the altercation reportedly turning physical, police were not called.
Complex has reached out to legal reps for LaBeouf for comment. This story may be updated.
In February, LaBeouf was arrested after he got into a fight amid Mardi Gras celebrations and was charged with simple battery. He was arrested that same month again in connection with the incident. In an extensive interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, he admitted that the altercation was his fault but insisted that he’s “not a fighter.”
“There's two, three people I hurt, I'm gonna deal with that,” he said in the interview, in which he also cried at the thought of meeting Jesus. “God bless you guys, that's my fault, I'm gonna deal with you, that’s on me. But that's three. The amount of interactions I've had in Mardi Gras, bro, I must have met 20,000 people. 20,000 good interactions and three bad interactions. I'm gonna sign up for it still. It's like playing blackjack at a casino.”
LaBeouf is also currently being sued by his ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs, years after they reached a settlement over sexual battery accusations. She has accused him of attempting to silence her with a non-disclosure agreement that she claims is illegal. Following their break-up, she alleged that LaBeouf physically assaulted her, sexually abused her, and knowingly gave her an STI.
In a previous statement announcing the lawsuit’s settlement, the two said they wished “personal happiness, professional success, and peace in the future” for each other.
