“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,” a spokesperson said in a statement shared with Variety. “Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

In a series of posts shared on Threads, actress Ruby Rose alleged that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her at a nightclub in Melbourne, Australia, when she was in her twenties.
The Complex Music account on Threads shared a post about Perry reacting to Justin Bieber’s headlining Coachella set, and Rose replied with her allegation against Perry.
“Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne,” she wrote. “Who gives a shit what she thinks.”
In further posts, she detailed the alleged incident, which she said went down at the since-closed Melbourne nightclub the Spice Market, and expressed her thanks to fans sharing support for her.
“Before I open up about something incredibly raw and traumatic, I tell myself ‘it’s ok, you don’t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer,’” she wrote in one response to a fan who offered support. “But then I see this post and tears consume me, in a good way. Thank you.”
Rose alleged that she was in her twenties at the time.
“I’m now 40,” she wrote. “It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.”
In further responses to people asking questions, she wrote that it was “harder” to speak up against woman-on-woman violence.
“She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her,” she wrote in another reply.
Rose, who is Australian, also claimed that Perry agreed to help her secure a visa for the United States after the alleged incident. She said that she’s “not interested in filing a report” about the incident, but she welcomes a lawsuit if Perry wants to take the situation to court.
Perry has not publicly responded to the allegations as of this writing.
