IShowSpeed tried to cheer up the internet's so-called 'angriest man in Nigeria' with cash, but the deal seemingly fell apart before any money changed hands.
During his livestream in Lagos on Wednesday (Jan. 21), the streamer meets a shirtless muscular man in red sweatpants, who later nicknames himself IShowStrength, proclaims how “angry” he is.
Near the one-hour and 19-minute mark in the video linked above, the man says that his “strength is my superpower” and that he’s “born to be different,” before proceeding to bend a pair of power twister bars.
Moments later, the man joins Speed and his entourage in the car. During the ride, the man’s energy remains intense, prompting Speed to ask him how he can cheer him up.
“Bro, why are you always angry?” Speed asks at the 1:43:40 mark. “How do I make you happy?”
“You wanna make me happy?” the man shouts repeatedly before exaggerating a laugh and proceeding to scream. “You know what to do … You already know.”
“What about money? Does money make you happy?” asks Speed, which makes the man ponder for a moment before insisting he’s still angry. “You want a girlfriend? I can get you a woman in Nigeria to make you happy … I can take you on a date in Nigeria, make you happy.”
Instead, the man suggests Speed give him $10,000 and that they’ll “start from there.” Glistening in sweat from the heat, the man bangs on the ceiling of their car while still insisting he’s angry.
“I got something that’ll make you happy,” Speed says, while seemingly trying to defuse the situation, as he reaches over to get a handful of cash from a member of his crew sitting in the row behind him. “Will this make you happy?”
The man asks how much Speed is holding, which he estimates is 50,000 Nigerian Naira, an amount the profusely sweaty and angry man isn’t thrilled with.
“I told you $10,000 will make me happy, for you,” he shouts. Further into the car ride, he specifies that he wants that amount in United States Dollars.
Speed consults with the chat and, later, a member of his crew who seemingly tells him that they don’t carry that amount of cash with them. In an effort to reach a compromise with the man, Speed offers him $1,000 USD.
That effort proves to be futile as the man loses his cool, pounds his chest, and tries to bargain for $5,000.
“Chat, we gotta make it five bro,” Speed says. “He’s greedy as hell.”
As the streamer’s car pulls into their next destination, it seems as though Speed never hands off any money after all.
During his Nigeria stream, IShowSpeed celebrated his 21st birthday and reached a milestone of 50 million subscribers on his YouTube account.
