iShowSpeed weighed in on the jollof rice debate while trying the Nigerian version.

While continuing his 28-day tour of Africa, on Wednesday (January 21), Speed went to Lagos, where he gave his input on the debate between Nigerian and Senegalese jollof rice. Although the West African dish originated in Senegal, which the streamer recently visited, he gave an unexpected opinion on which rice was more favorable.

"I'm not gonna lie, this was very good. I think I'm gonna have to go with Nigeria, chat. This is good. This is good jollof rice," the streamer said in the video below.

After being egged on by the crowd, Speed clarified that the Nigerian jollof rice was the best he had in Africa "so far." The streamer dove back in for one more bite before passing it off.

Also this week, Speed tried jollof rice in Senegal, which a native called the "best" among the African countries.

"You ain't tell me it was spicy," he told a woman who served him a full platter. But the rice was too intense for Speed, who reacted to its spiciness by downing a bottle of water. "That's good, though," he said while going for another bite.

While the streamer continues making his rounds in Africa for another week, he's already covered tremendous ground, visiting Egypt, Zimbabwe, and Algeria, where he hilariously mistook their dinar currency for "dinner."
