Reginae Carter says she was rejected from private schools in Atlanta due to the content of her father Lil Wayne’s lyrics.
During an episode of her Heir Time podcast that featured Nas’ daughter Destiny Jones, Carter opened up about her school experiences and brought up the fact that she got denied from some institutions.
“I went to Christian school almost my whole life,” Carter said around the 5:37 mark. “A lot of the private schools I wanted to go to — I’m not going to say the names — were blocking me because of what my dad was doing a lot of the time, because of the music he was making.”
“It was a lot of big schools in Atlanta, the biggest that rejected me,” she added. “They rejected a lot of celebrity kids.”
Carter then admitted that she kind of understood why she wasn’t let in. “I get it, to a certain extent,” she said. “But it’s like, I’m a kid and that don’t got nothing to do with me. You shouldn’t judge me off of what my dad’s got going on.”

A few months ago, Carter reflected on growing up around her father’s many relationships. While speaking with Toie Ashanti for the Heir Time podcast, Carter opened up about the women that Wayne dated over the years.
“I was telling my friend the other day… how like I used to love Nivea,” she said. “I begged for Niv to come to my party. Like I used to dress like Nivea for my party.”
“Girl, I love Nivea. I love Trina. I love Solange… Yeah. He had a few. I love everybody,” Carter added.
