Offset, who was shot outside a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida this week, has shared a new statement following his release from the hospital.

“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love!” Offset said in a statement shared to social media on Friday (April 10). “I’m good….but I’m planning to be better! I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music…realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…. Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”

When sharing the statement, Offset also included a preview of a new song. In it, he’s heard asserting that he will protect his “wealth” and “mental health.”

A spokesperson for Offset tells Complex he is “up and walking” after his hospital release.

“Offset has been released from the hospital and he is up and walking,” the spokesperson said Friday. “We’re incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital staff who took such great care of him."

As previously reported, a rep for Offset confirmed in a statement to Complex on Monday (April 6) that the Migos alum had been “shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” adding that he was “stable and being closely monitored” at the time.

Later, a Seminole Police Department rep told Complex that Tione Jayden Merritt, a.k.a. Lil Tjay, had been charged “in connection with the incident that took place Monday night at a valet area outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood.”

Prior to that confirmation, Dawn M. Florio, an attorney for Tjay, issued a statement of her own in response to what she said were “false rumors” of her client’s involvement in the shooting.

“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting,” Florio said on Monday.

Tjay was ultimately charged with disorderly conduct — affray, a first-degree misdemeanor, and booked into the Broward County Jail.

Days before the Hard Rock shooting, Offset was hit with a $100,000 casino debt lawsuit from Detroit’s MotorCity Casino Hotel. He’s actively “working toward a resolution” in the dispute, per a rep.
