After years of delays, Rocky's fourth studio album has been released, complete with cover art from Tim Burton.

ASAP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb, the long-awaited follow-up to Testing that he once joked was “never dropping,” has indeed dropped.

The 17-track album, featuring cover art by Edward Scissorhands and Batman Returns filmmaker Tim Burton, comes nearly eight years after its predecessor. This, however, should in no way suggest that Rocky hasn’t been blisteringly busy in the interim.

In 2025 alone, he appeared in not one but two well-reviewed films (Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest and Mary Bronstein’s If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), all while intermittently providing updates on the status of the album itself.

There have been some major changes in Rocky’s personal life, as well. Over the past four years, he and Rihanna have welcomed three children together, including daughter Rocki Irish. Asked in October by Complex’s Mike DeStefano to name his “favorite thing” he created in 2025, Rocky shouted out his and Rihanna’s newborn.

Don’t Be Dumb, previously known (albeit briefly) under the title All Smiles, was originally expected to be released much earlier. In a previous interview with Complex, Rocky highlighted pesky leakers as a contributing factor in its delay, calling those behind such practices “dummies.”

Dummies be damned, Don’t Be Dumb is finally here. Among those making guest appearances are Tyler, The Creator; Danny Elfman; Doechii; Thundercat; and Gorillaz.

“Thanks to every creative and musician who helped me with this masterpiece,” Rocky told fans in December when sharing album cover variants to X and Instagram.
