The 20-year-old UK artist exploded onto the scene this year and has already established himself as one of rap’s future style stars. Similar to Playboi Carti early in his career, Fakemink’s outfits often include fan-favorite pieces from Supreme’s archive, like leopard Nuptses from 2011 and Shibuya Box Logos from 2012. When he isn’t showing off grails, he’s keeping it calm in a designer black tee and matching denim (peep the Celine boxers though). Everything feels very organic. 9. Yeat

Last year’s rank: Unranked

Yeat likes to keep a low profile. Even when you see him, his face is usually hidden by a ski mask or a scarf. But when he does pop out, he turns heads. Like his music, his closet leveled up in 2025. It was anchored by insane Chrome Hearts pieces that ranged from leopard berets to cross-patch Timberlands. He balances out the flashy statement pieces with understated staples like white tees and tanks, the perfect backdrop for his custom diamond chains from the best jeweler in the world. Brands are taking notice too. A surprise launch of Nike boots at ComplexCon sold out swiftly, proving that Yeat has grown into one of the genre’s most marketable young stars. —Mike DeStefano

8. Gunna

Last year’s rank: Unranked

Style has been a key piece of Gunna’s brand since the Atlanta artist debuted in 2016, wearing super skinny jeans and tight designer tees. These days, his style is more mature. You’re more likely to find him stepping out in wool suits and abstract looks from Rick Owens. More casual T-shirts and jeans are still in rotation, but now they’re courtesy of buzzy LA labels like Paly and ERD. Since his release from jail in 2022, Gunna’s renewed focus on health and wellness has been highly publicized. His style is one of the things that has benefited from the lifestyle change. —Mike DeStefano

7. Cardi B

Last year’s rank: 6

This year marked the release of Cardi B’s highly anticipated sophomore album. It also further built her case as this generation’s most stylish female rapper. Whether she’s arriving to court in a feather tweed set from Giambattista Valli, leaning into the street style of New York City with a leather bomber jacket and baggy denim on stage, or cheering on Stefon Diggs in a full Intrecciato leather look from Bottega Veneta, she pulls it off with ease. —Mike DeStefano

6. Tyler, the Creator

Last year’s rank: 4

Nobody does a uniform quite like Tyler, the Creator. Over the 2020s, he established his own spin on the classic preppy wardrobe defined by pastel colors, Airedales Terriers, and handdrawn flowers. These details have also been a throughline of his ongoing work with Converse and his premium label Le Fleur, which has allowed him to turn his personal style into a full fledged brand.

When Tyler wasn’t rocking Fair Isle sweaters and pleated chinos in 2025, he was channeling hip-hop icon LL Cool J with red leather sets, Cazal shades, and gold dookie chains to promote his surprise, ‘90s-inspired album Don’t Tap the Glass. His ability to conceptualize new characters for each album adds another unique layer to his personal style that few of his peers can match. —Mike DeStefano

5. Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar doesn’t pop out often, but he always makes the most of his public appearances. From the Super Bowl halftime show to the GNX tour, Dot stepped out in plenty of amazing fits in 2025.

His Maison Margiela Canadian tuxedo paired with a blinding Jesus piece at the Grammys was a standout look. Nothing comes close to his ensemble for his Super Bowl halftime show: a custom pgLang leather jacket designed by Martine Rose, Nike Air DT Max 96s, diamond “a” chain swinging from his neck, and flared Celine jeans that took the internet by storm.

The coolest part of Kendrick’s style this year was how he consistently showed love to his hometown by wearing a range of West Coast brands like Willy Chavarria, ERL, and Ghetto Rodeo. He also tapped smaller designers for custom pieces, like custom belts from New York–based brand Stolen Arts and Worcester-based designer and CorruptKid founder Antonio Corrales.

Kendrick’s style is a direct reflection of his sound—raw, consistent, intentional, and beautiful. He mentioned he’d be best dressed moving forward on “The Hillbillies” with Baby Keem in 2023. He’s been making a strong case ever since. —Breeana Walker

4. Lil Yachty

Last year’s rank: 2

Lil Yachty’s style can’t be put into a box. One week, he might be ringside at a WWE event in a rare vintage T-shirt from the ’90s. The next, he’ll be in head-to-toe custom Chrome Hearts leather beside Jesse Jo Stark. In between, he might debut an unreleased collab between Levi’s and Nike or put on an emerging brand like NYRVA on one of his finsta accounts. Regardless of what he’s feeling on any particular day when he gets dressed, you can expect Yachty to wear it well. While his wardrobe is pretty referential, it never feels inauthentic. He’s pulling elements from past eras that resonate with him, tweaking them just enough to feel fresh for the current generation. —Mike DeStefano

ASAP Rocky has been a style icon for over a decade and still he finds ways to level up. The father of three is redefining “dad swag” with his colorful Dior ties and perfectly tailored Calvin Klein suits. While more refined looks have become his go-to, Rocky still mixes in flashier streetwear looks that nod to his Harlem roots, like Vanson leather jackets and Marmot-inspired coats at the Met Gala (of which he sat as co-chair). He’s even been able to turn pink hair rollers into a fly accessory, a key element of his on-stage wardrobe at festivals around the world.

You can’t talk about Rocky’s style in 2025 without mentioning his legendary run of court outfits that featured timeless menswear pieces like Burberry trench coats, Ray-Ban shades, and pinstriped Saint Laurent suits. A few months later, he was shutting down the Cannes Film Festival in more perfectly-tailored suits alongside Denzel Washington and Spike Lee to promote Highest 2 Lowest. Rocky was everywhere this year, but despite the insane amount of public appearances, his outfits never wavered.

It’s all accentuated further by his expansive design portfolio through ongoing partnership with Puma, Ray-Ban, Moncler Genius, and his own brand AWGE. Fourteen years in, Rocky is still “that pretty mothafucka.” —Mike DeStefano

His outfits are so memorable that they’re now skins in Fortnite. This is the year that Carti established himself as not only the best dressed rapper right now, but one of the best dressed rappers of all time. —Mike DeStefano
