Waka Flocka Flame announced that he is expecting his first biological child, a baby boy he plans to name after himself.

The rapper, born Juaquin James Malphurs, shared the news on social media alongside a photo of himself holding a large wooden letter 'J' carved with the name 'Juaquin Jr.,' according to TMZ. He also posted about holding and smelling his newborn son.

"Just waiting for you to come home Jr. Best gift a man could ever ask for," Waka Flocka Flame wrote in the post.

The announcement came during his 40th birthday celebration, per The Shade Room, and was met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans who celebrated the next chapter in the rapper's life.

The news marks a significant milestone for Waka, who has long embraced a father figure role in his personal life. During his marriage to reality television personality Tammy Rivera, he helped raise her daughter Charlie and developed a close relationship with her over the years.

In 2021, Charlie publicly asked Waka if he would adopt her, a moment that drew attention from fans who had watched their bond grow throughout the years.

During an appearance on Carlos King's Reality With the King podcast last December, Rivera reflected on her marriage to the rapper, explaining that while their relationship ultimately ended, they were able to preserve their friendship.

She described Waka as someone who was still trying to find himself during their years together and said the strain on the relationship grew over time. Despite past issues, including infidelity, Rivera said they have remained on good terms and continue to share mutual respect.

"All those years of us going through ups and downs together, once I knew who I was as a woman and he got who he was as a man and where he wanted to be, I think that the strain of a relationship, it was already strained," Rivera said. "We have a good rapport and it's so much respect there. And that was that was the whole point of me leaving the relationship sooner. I knew that I was losing respect for him.”
