Pooh Shiesty officially has a trial date set in his federal kidnapping and robbery case tied to allegations involving Gucci Mane.
According to a newly filed document from Dallas federal court, the trial is scheduled to begin on July 6, 2026, with a final pretrial conference set for July 1 before Senior U.S. District Judge David Godbey.
The Memphis rapper, born Lontrell Williams Jr., is one of nine defendants named in the indictment. Others charged in the case include his father, Lontrell Williams Sr., and fellow rapper Rodney Wright Jr., better known as Big30.
Federal prosecutors allege Shiesty orchestrated a meeting with Gucci Mane, whose legal name is Radric Davis, at a Dallas recording studio earlier this year before he and several associates allegedly robbed and kidnapped the Atlanta rap star and members of his entourage at gunpoint.
Investigators claim the alleged incident stemmed from tensions surrounding Pooh Shiesty’s recording agreement with Gucci Mane’s New 1017 label. Prosecutors believe Williams was attempting to force his way out of the contract.
Defense attorneys have strongly pushed back on those claims in previous hearings, arguing that investigators lacked crucial physical evidence directly linking Williams to the alleged robbery and kidnapping plot.
Pooh Shiesty has remained in federal custody since his arrest. Earlier this year, a judge denied his request for release after ruling prosecutors had established probable cause supporting the kidnapping allegations.
The newly filed document also outlines deadlines for discovery, witness lists, motions, and evidence exchanges ahead of the July proceedings.
