Pooh Shiesty has pleaded not guilty to five federal counts of kidnapping and extortion in the alleged incident involving Gucci Mane that took place on Jan. 10.

Shiesty showed up in federal court in Dallas on May 8 and entered pleas of not guilty on all counts, his attorney Kent Schaffer confirmed to Complex.

“We are starting to gather the evidence and conduct our own investigation and we believe we will have a strong case,” Schaffer told Complex via email.

Pooh Shiesty’s plea comes days after his father and Big30 both pleaded not guilty in their own charges of kidnapping and robbery in relation to the incident. They are currently behind bars after their bonds were revoked.

Shiesty, his father, Big30, and six other men have been accused of luring Gucci Mane and a few other individuals to a Dallas recording studio and robbing them at gunpoint on Jan. 10.

In addition, Shiesty allegedly forced Gucci Mane to release him from a record contract with Gucci’s label by holding the rapper at gunpoint and making him sign paperwork. Big30 blocked a nearby door, preventing escape, and several other individuals allegedly stole from the rapper and others.

Shiesty and his co-conspirators could be facing life in prison for their roles in the alleged incident.

Late last month, Shiesty’s alleged “right-hand man” was let out on bond by a judge, only to have it revoked after prosecutors appealed the decision. In the appeal, prosecutors cited “the seriousness of the defendant’s offense conduct, his criminal history, and the potential danger that the defendant poses to the community.”

Gucci Mane offered his version of what happened in the robbery on the song “Crash Dummy” that came out in April. On the track, Gucci Mane detailed the “setup” and how he thought he was going to a real business meeting.

I walk in the room, you can feel the pressure building/N***a dapped me up there, whole time they plotting against me,” Gucci Mane rapped.
