Coachella—aka the unofficial start of festival season—is finally here. The first weekend of the festival kicks off this weekend (April 11-13) at the hallowed Empire Polo Club site in Indio, California. (Weekend two will happen the following weekend, from April 18 to 20.) And, once again for the third year in a row, you can still snag last-minute tickets for both weekends, with GA tickets available for the second weekend. (Some resale sites are even offering tickets at the original face value for weekend one.)
There are many culprits behind this—inflation, the market crash, exorbitant initial pricing, and festival fatigue. But don't let the fact that there are still tickets available reflect the quality of this year's lineup. Coachella 2025 will be headlined by Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott. Beyond the headliners, the depth and diversity of the lineup are thrilling. From electro-rage prodigies to rising Afro and K-pop stars to hard-hitting, slap-riddled rappers from around the world, there’s something for everyone. And to be frank, Coachella has a long history of putting on iconic performances.
Even if you can’t be one of the over 100,000 people in the desert, you should still pay attention. You can watch Coachella 2025 on YouTube, with each of the eight stages having its own stream available.
We took it upon ourselves to look through the over 150 acts performing, to find the 15 we’re most excited about. Check out the list below.
Travis Scott
Day: Saturday
Set time: 11:40 PM
Stage: Coachella Stage
Travis Scott and festival sets have become synonymous at this point. Arguably the artist with the most dynamic stage setup year after year, he always brings endless hype. This performance, in particular, seems especially exciting: he’s performing near midnight in a show described as “designing the desert.: He recently spoke to Complex about headlining Coachella, saying:
“I’m trying to create a next-level way to do things. It’s more selfless, though. It’s not about Trav, like, ‘Oh, come look at a fucking experience of Travis.’ No, this is a social thing, with all of us. It’s a community thing. I’m just curating it and hoping that you fuck with the idea of what I’m trying to do.”
Last time he headlined a festival was Rolling Loud in December. During that set, Travis brought out actor Owen Wilson. So here’s to hoping there’s someone else funny and random to hype up the crowd for “Fein.”
JENNIE
Day: Sunday
Set time: 7:45 PM
Stage: Outdoor Theatre
Kpop upstart JENNIE recently talked to Complexabout her live show, saying: “I feel alive when performing, it only makes sense for me to bring the emotion live in front of people.”
Thus, we expect a particularly passionate display at her solo Coachella debut. After being a part of Blackpink’s history-defining moment in 2023—the group was the first Asian artist to ever headline Coachella—JENNIE is stepping back on the stage now as a Columbia Records signed solo artist off the heels of her debut album Ruby. The project features piercing melodies atop soundscapes from production auteurs like El Guincho, FKJ, and Mike Will Made-It.
Megan Thee Stallion
Day: Sunday
Set time: 8:35 PM
Stage: Coachella Stage
Megan’s Act II project, which dropped in October of ‘24, featured more localized Houston sounds than we’ve heard since her earlier mixtapes like Fever and Tina Snow. Hopefully, she will instill this energy into her stage show which always seems to one up itself as a choreographic display. We’d also be intrigued to hear a booming performance of her diss track (at least semi-aimed at Drake) “HISS.”
Yeat
Day: Friday
Set time: 9:10 PM
Stage: Sahara
We hope Yeat goes full extraterrestrial. Simple as that. He’s been teasing that “Yeatchella” is coming, and we can only imagine what that means. Coachella is the perfect stage for this raging alien to transform the valley crowd into a cinematic sci-fi field of controlled chaos.
GloRilla
Day: Friday
Set time: 10:25 PM
Stage: Sahara
This feels like GloRilla’s moment to make a festival set name for herself. After a year built off a string of back to back to back hard-nosed hits, she now has enough of a catalog to really hold her own for the entirety of her stage time. If her 2024 VMAs performance was any indicator, get prepared for her to make the valley shake.
2Hollis
Day: Saturday
Set time: 6:30 PM
Stage: Gobi
In a recent interview with i-D, electro-pop rap wonderboy 2Hollis stated that his new album star was filled with “Coachella bangers.” After listening to his electric early album of the year contender, we can confirm this is very much the case. 2Hollis also revealed, via X, that star was recorded in his childhood home, which burned to the ground during the LA fires. This could indicate a forthcoming emotional SoCal festival set for the ages.
BigXThaPlug
Day: Sunday
Set time: 7:25 PM
Stage: Gobi
With last year’s Take Care, Dallas, Texas spitter BigXThaPlug delivered 2024’s most trunk rattlin rap album. The booming 808s beneath X’s ear-grabbing baritone seem ideal for an open-field rap set. We are also eager to see if X leans at all into his country-leaning pivot which was just introduced with the release of his new single “All The Way” featuring crooner Bailey Zimmerman.
Hanumankind
Day: Saturday
Set time: 8:25 PM
Stage: Mojave
“Big Dawgs” made Hanumankind an international star, not just because of the thumper of a track laden with his take on the Project Pat “Patta” flow, but because of its accompanying video shot in a carnival dome in Kerala, India. Hanumankid introduced the world to the swirling drama of the local carnival show Well of Death, which features cars and motorcycles speeding around wooden walls which the rapper told Complex made him feel “motion sick.” We look forward to seeing if he brings any of the dynamism of that imagery to the valley.
Missy Elliott
Day: Friday
Set time: 9:00 PM
Stage: Coachella Stage
After last year’s tour, Missy is finally making her long-overdue Coachella debut, and it’s the perfect moment for a victory-lap performance. Picture Super Bowl-level energy, with Missy Misdemeanor showcasing the most iconic music video moves hip-hop has ever seen. We’re also expecting a heartfelt tribute to the late Fatman Scoop.
Mustard
Day: Friday
Set time: 11:50 PM
Stage: Sahara
Let’s be honest, even the slightest chance of a Kendrick Lamar appearance makes us excited to see Mustard’s set. Yet, regardless of the hope associated with that dream, hearing the Coachella crowd scream the DJ’s name when he drops “tv off” is going to feel transcendental. He’s likely to make the valley vibrate and then immediately drop “Not Like Us” to cap it all off.
Ravyn Lenae
Day: Friday
Set time: 2:35 PM
Stage: Mojave
After some late life on her lead single “Love Me Not” from her 2024 album Bird’s Eye, via TikTok virality, Ravyn Lenae may be due for a real festival breakthrough moment. The piercingly stunning alt-R&B vocalist has been gearing up for this since her 2018 EP Crush. Her fairy-like aura could very well entrance festival goers to enter another universe.
Rema
Day: Sunday
Set time: 6:40 PM
Stage: Mojave
While we are, of course, excited to see the Benin City prodigy perform his recent Sade sampling hit “Baby (Is It A Crime),” the majority of our Rema anticipation lies in anticipating the reverberating dynamism of his last project HEIS, which was one of the best albums of last year. The album feels like it could obliterate a speaker and evoke a crowd to erupt into a chaotic mix of rage and ecstasy. Look out for his set to be the sneaky standout of the festival.
Three 6 Mafia
Day: Friday
Set time: 5:15 PM
Stage: Sahara
One of the most influential rap groups ever is also finally touching the Coachella stage. DJ Paul recently told TMZ they are eagerly going to “turn the stage into a mosh pit.” While he’s not a core member of Three 6, Project Pat popping out—maybe even with Hanumankind—could be an ecstatic surprise. We also anticipate an anthemic salute to the late Gangsta Boo.
Tyla
Day: Friday
Set time: 6:45 PM
Stage: Outdoor Theatre
A Tyla performance in itself feels meant for the vibe of Coachella. Her sound has the perfect balance of vibrance and groove to connect deeply with a crowd dancing in a field. Will the audience do the TikTok-friendly dance for “Water” in unison? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Ty Dolla Sign
Day: Sunday
Set time: 9:35 PM
Stage: Sahara
There’s going to be a looming question hovering over Ty Dolla Sign’s set—will he bring up Ye? Ty recently denounced Ye’s hate speech for the first time since working with him vehemently on two Vultures albums. We are eager to see if he first, performs any of their collabs, or second, addresses their current state of affairs, which seem quite strained.
